It saddens us to announce that Constructor Alumnus Jonathan Rittmayer, Class of 2021 and previous recipient of the Claus Halle Scholarship, has passed away. A New Jersey native, Jonathan came to Jacobs University to study Economics and computer science. Despite his workload, he never lost sight of what was important to him: living a happy life and making the world a better place.

“I personally remember Jonathan from his application for the Scholarship and later him pitching his Startup UniMatch,” shares Constructor president Kevin Korte, “He was driven by the vision of giving others the perfect shot at an education that aligns with their values. He genuinely believed that we could change the world if we all tried our best.”

The Constructor University Foundation, together with the Constructor Alumni Office and the Beyond the Pond Alumni Association, is sponsoring a living memorial to Jonathan on Campus. Please join us in making this possible. Any funds left over will be allocated to the scholarship fund, enabling the next generation to follow in Jonathan’s footsteps.
